Charles W. Bauer
Mr. Bauer serves as the head of investor relations and fundraising for EnCap Investments. Prior to joining EnCap in 2010, Mr. Bauer spent five years overseeing the investor relations and fundraising efforts of HM Capital Partners, a middle-market buyout firm based in Dallas. Previously, Mr. Bauer was Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions.
Mr. Bauer received a B.S. from Texas Christian University and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Crystal serves as Managing Director of investor relations and fundraising for EnCap Investments. Previously, Mr. Crystal was an Associate at EnCap, working on the investment side of the business. Prior to joining EnCap in January 2008, Mr. Crystal served as a Vice President in the commercial lending department at Amegy Bank of Texas, focusing on real estate-related development companies. For one year after his six years at Amegy, Mr. Crystal worked in the not-for-profit sector. Mr. Crystal holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Rice University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin.
Head of ESG
Prior to joining EnCap in March 2018, Ms. Friese spent nearly five years at J.P. Morgan. She spent three years in the Corporate Client Banking Group in Houston, working on syndicated leveraged credit facilities in the energy sector. She also spent approximately two years in the Investment Banking Group in New York, focusing on M&A advisory and public capital raises in the consumer and retail sector.
Ms. Friese holds a Master of Business Administration from Rice University as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.
Ms. Richards serves as Vice President of investor relations and fundraising for EnCap Investments. Prior to joining EnCap in November 2021, Ms. Richards spent two and a half years at Macquarie Capital. She split her time between the Energy Principal team and the Advisory team within the Infrastructure & Energy Group in Houston. She also spent approximately two years in Scotiabank’s Power & Utilities Investment Banking Group in New York focusing on M&A advisory, and approximately two years in Prudential Capital Group’s Energy Finance Group in Dallas as an investment analyst focused on project finance in the power sector.
Ms. Richards holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Christian University and is also a CFA charterholder.
